National Titles and Polls

When attempting to look up national title winners, the biggest problem faced is determining just who won national titles in which years. Because the history of college football is filled with a great lot of people giving out national titles -- sometimes retroactively -- there is a great deal of debate as to who actually won the national title in any given year.

RSFC National Football Champions
The most exclusive, selective and difficult list to enter. For that reason, some consider it an excellent list and others consider it a disgrace.
College Football Data Warehouse National Championships
Another excellent list of national championships. With a few clicks you can find a remarkably complete list of national championships, including some particularly obscure titles.
NationalChamps.net National Champions
The national title list from a site dedicated to national championships. Another excellent list that takes yet another set of criteria for their list.
Final AP College Football Polls
A collection of the final AP polls for every year since its inception in 1936.
Final Coaches' Polls
The final coaches' polls for every year since its inception in 1950. This is the UPI poll from 1950-1990, then the CNN/USA Today poll starting in 1991.
Early Football Championships
National championships from the days when there were rugby-style football teams and soccer-style football teams. Includes both American and Canadian teams.
Lower Division National Championships
A complete list of NCAA Division I-AA, II, and III championships, as well as NAIA Division I and II champions, Black College national champions and NCCAA national champions.

Everyone's favorite time of year: when we get to imagine we have any idea what's going to happen.

The lunacy of the coaching swaps, chopped down to a briefish summary of stupidity.
